            Elizabeth FrewPractice ManagerElizabeth joined our team as a receptionist and auxiliary nurse in 2002, and now works at our Troon branch as our practice manager. She has one cat called Lacey, and is a keen cyclist and gardener. She also enjoys reading and walking in her free time.

            Mara Carla Artuffo BinningClinical DirectorDVM MRCVD PhDAfter graduating in 1990, Mara completed a PhD in oncology at Glasgow University. She joined our team in 2024, and has a keen interest in dental treatment, exotic pets and pain management. Outside of work, she enjoys walking, swimming, skiing and riding her horse, Bruce.

            Susan MacFarlaneSenior Veterinary SurgeonBVMS MRCVSSusan graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2004, and has been with us since 2022. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, chronic pain management and treating rabbits and other small, furry animals. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her dogs, Ginny and Freya, and riding her horse, Carmin.

            Celine HermanVeterinary SurgeonMRCVSCeline graduated in Belgium in 2013. She has mostly worked in small animal practices in France and Scotland. She enjoys the diversity and stimulating aspects of working as a vet. Outside of work, she likes reading and taking long walks with her two dogs in the beautiful Scottish landscapes.

            Aleksandra StrainVeterinary SurgeonMRCVSAleksandra studied in Poland, and graduated in 2010. After gaining experience at various small animal practices and moving to Scotland, she joined our team in 2023. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. In her own time, she loves exploring the Scottish countryside while hill walking and cycling.

            Mackenzie DonohueVeterinary SurgeonMRCVSDr. MacKenzie graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2024 and is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in both internal medicine and surgery. He is dedicated to advancing his skills as a small animal veterinarian and providing exceptional care to pets and their families.Outside of the clinic, Dr. MacKenzie enjoys spending quality time with his wife, daughter, and their dog, Thistle. Together, they share a love for outdoor adventures, including hiking, camping, and exploring nature.Dr. MacKenzie is excited to be part of the Collier and Brock team and looks forward to meeting you and your furry companions!

            Katie CarmichaelVeterinary NurseRVNKatie joined our team in 2020 and has since developed a keen interest in feline behaviour, pain management, physiotherapy and arthritis treatments. She has an array of pets at home, including two horses, two Labradors and a cat. In her own time, she enjoys horse riding, competing in local shows and walking her dogs with her mum.

            Jacquie FordyceVeterinary NurseRVN, ISFM cert FNJacquie joined us on a work placement while completing her animal nursing auxiliary training in 2009, and is now fully qualified and in charge of training our future veterinary nurses. Jacquie completed her International Society of Feline Medicine Certificate in Feline Nursing on 20th February 2025.

            Nicola McCallumAuxiliary NurseNicola has many years of experience as an auxiliary nurse, and is working towards her longtime dream of qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse. She has always loved animals, and enjoys getting to build relationships with our clients and their pets. At home, she has a dog called Kiera and two parrots called Poppy and Jack.

            Katie YoungVeterinary NurseRVN, Certificate in Grief Coach for Pet LossKatie has been with our team since 2022, and completed her veterinary nurse training at SRUC. She loves caring for all types of animals, and has 2 rabbits and a cat of her own at home. In October 2025 she completed a Certificate in “Grief Coach for Pet Loss” adding another talent to her multiple skills.

            Erin HoughtonVeterinary NurseRVNBorn in Northern Ireland, I always wanted to be a veterinary nurse and make a difference. I began my veterinary career at 15 working in local practices. I moved to Scotland in 2022 to study, gaining experience with Glasgow University Veterinary Hospital enjoying anaesthesia, internal medicine and most aspects of veterinary nursing. I currently have a Westie called Mackenzie and a Ragdoll called Aspen. I enjoy spirituality, keeping fit and living life to the full!

            Cora BrownVeterinary Care AssistantVCACora joined our team in January 2025 while completing her ‘veterinary care assistant’ course. Cora has had pets all of her life and always had a great love of animals especially horses, she is still working towards qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse which has always been a dream of hers.

            Maureen FrewHead ReceptionistMaureen splits her time working at our Irvine and Troon branches. She has a working cocker spaniel called Rocky and two cats Olli and Lew, and has a passion for cycling, walking, history and genealogy.

            Amanda FrameReceptionistAmanda joined our team in August 2023 and splits her time between Troon and Irvine branches. Amanda can quite often be seen with her furry assistant Harry (our unofficial receptionist). In her spare time she likes to spend all her free time with her horse Charlie and Harry.

            Heather StewartReceptionistHeather has worked with animals and in customer service roles for most of her life, and loves being able to combine the two! When she’s not taking care of her own dogs and bearded dragon, she enjoys reading, writing and singing.

            Russell BerrieReceptionistRussell joined the team in early 2024 in our Irvine branch. He worked as a graphic designer in the past and still does some work in his spare time. He has an adopted Lhasa Apso caller Keira. Russell enjoys time away with his partner in their camper van.

            Kirsty-Elizabeth BuckinghamReceptionistKirsty joined the reception team in November 2024. She is currently studying Applied Bioscience & Zoology at UWS and has two dogs, Zack and Kora.
